Installing the gate is a breeze, whether you're using it in doorways, hallways, or at the top or bottom of stairs. Note that a few tools (not included) are required for hardware installation, including a drill, Phillips-head screwdriver, pencil, and measuring tape.

The gate features a 20" wide door that swings both ways and stays open when engaged past 90 degrees. If the door is opened less than 90 degrees, it will auto-close. A stopper prevents the door from swinging over stairs when installed at the top. The door locks securely with narrowly spaced bars to prevent little ones or pets from squeezing through. Opening the door with one hand is easy for adults, simply engage the latch and pull up on the door.

Remember that the gate will not fit openings of 33-33.5", 37-37.5", 41-41.5", 45-45.5", or 49-49.5". Rest assured, this gate has been third-party safety tested and approved.
